The Seeds of Success in Spryfield were originally planted by some of the first settlers in the community and that tradition continues today.
The seeds of the Spryfield and District Business Commission were originally planted by an informal business association in the early 1990’s consisting of many prominent local business owners. In 2003 the SDBC was formalized as a “Business Improvement District” under a service agreement with the Halifax Regional Municipality and we have been growing ever since.
With over 150 members the SDBC works to ensure that our member businesses continue to grow and prosper.
Our goal in planting the “Seeds of Success” is to ensure an all encompassing business district with a unique mix of retail, services and products and hospitality to ensure a growing residential community that appeals to people of all ages, backgrounds and interests.
Given the commercial, residential and community services growth along with the growing positive image of Spryfield it is evident the “Seeds of Success” will continue to grow into the future.
